When it comes to bathroom design, the choice of shower glass can significantly impact the overall look and feel of the space. While trends come and go, there are certain timeless shower glass styles that never go out of fashion.

In this article we’re going to explore 6 Frameless Shower Glass Styles that will never go out of style. Renovating your bathroom is a stressful process due to the high stakes decision making required from everyone involved. Even if something looks just a little bit out of place you will be staring at if for the next 15 years.

Frameless 2 Panel Hinged

The 2 Panel Hinged door is a classic. When I was installing glass it felt like every other door we installed was a 2 panel hinged door. With this set-up there is 1 stationary panel and 1 panel that acts as the door. As you can see there are still plenty of choices to be made if you chose to install the 2 panel hinged door. The remaining choices include: Hinge style, Handle Style, Hardware color, and any deviations from standard glass height, thickness, or opacity.

Frameless Barn-Style Sliding

The Barn-Style Sliding door quickly became the most popular frameless slider because it reduced the amount of visual frame/ metal drastically from the traditional slider. When installed correctly this style of sliding door will be extremely smooth for years. Hardware color is very important when deciding if this style is right for you. Keep in mind, it’s still a slider! So you will have a thick frame visible.

Frameless 3+ Panel Hinge

The Frameless 3+ Panel Hinge needs a large enclosure to be pulled off. But, it is exciting to step through what feels like a floating door. How can this be pulled off? The operational door is hinged to one of the stationary panels meaning both pieces of glass need to be cut to fit the hinge which does increase the cost.

2+ Panel Frameless Corner and Door

The Frameless corner is a beautiful option. As you can see in the image below the corners require only a fastener at the top and bottom. This particular shower has a clamp style frame which reduces visibility even more than standard U-Channel.

Single Panel Step In/ Out

Choosing a Single Panel Step In/ Out can be an intricate decision. You don’t want to get water all over your bathroom, why not just complete the shower with a door? The Single Panel can add a sense of luxury and reduce the amount of hardware needed. It can also fit particularly well in both small and large bathrooms. Anyways, your contractor will be happy to come install a door if your bathroom floor is getting wet.

Bathtub Slider or Swinging Door

The Bathtub Slider or Swinging Door can be a great option for a luxury feeling bathroom with a standard built-in tub. Keeping a tub in the house can be especially beneficial if you only have one or two bathrooms. Keep your tub and choose from many of the 2 panel styles listed above.
